The Epsilon Hexaton Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa at Virginia Tech is anticipating a very important and busy couple of weeks. On March 17, 2010, Phi Sigma Kappa at Virginia Tech celebrated their Chatering Day. This day marked the 3rd successful year that Phi Sigma Kappa has had at Virginia Tech since being re-chartered. The Epsilon Hexaton Chapter plans to further their already outstanding reputation with the Blacksburg community as well as the Virginia Tech community, through many new and already established events.

Phi Sigma Kappa, at Virginia Tech, held their second annual Phi Sig Service Day on March 28, 2010. This was a day for the Phi Sig’s of Virginia Tech to give back to those who matter most around them, their neighbors, as well as the immediate community of Blacksburg. The Chapter helped nearby residents with such things as: removing graffiti, doing yard work, cleaning streets, and picking up trash. The event was concluded by Phi Sigma Kappa hosting a cookout for their neighbors in their beautiful and spacious backyard.
The Epsilon Hexaton Chapter also hosted a brand new philanthropic event this year. Phi Sig Olympics, which took place from March 31, 2010 to April 3, 2010, was a four day philanthropy to raise money for their national philanthropy, Special Olympics. The four days consisted of an opening ceremony for all the participants, a day of field games, an academic challenge, and booths set up around campus to raise money.
Phi Sigma Kappa at Virginia Tech is very excited for the upcoming weeks and they look forward to building on their reputation at Virginia Tech and throughout Blacksburg, through events such as the Phi Sig Service Day and Phi Sig Olympics. It is sure to be a fantastic end of the semester.
